Boring weekend again

Today is just another very hot mediocre day in Texas
with nothing to do. Wish I could have gone to the
Food Fest in Dallas this weekend. I can not wait to
get outta this place. I really want to go back to
England ASAP. Calgon take me away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Montego Bay sounds really good right about now.

Just got invited to a holiday in Jamaica.
Now it's just a matter of getting the money to go.
Thank goodness my friend will be there for a few
months so it's not some last minute sudden thing
that I have to rush into. Even better no worries
with accomodation.

Summer without me

The last few weeks have been a hodgepodge of good and bad. Just thinking why is everyone having a more exciting summer than I am? Everyone is going somewhere except for me! San Antonio, Hot Springs, Austin, San Francisco, Chicago and at the moment a friend is on a Spanish language course in Costa Rica. That sounds wonderful and she's having a great time. I would love to go on an Arabic language course tour. Calgon take me away---now!

Happy Birthday to me.......

Today is my 100th birthday or at least it feels like it.
The last several weeks have been in the dumps. Would like
to enjoy this day and be truly grateful for it but it's
not easy. Anyways................

Having a fucked up day

Today has been one shitty depressing day. Normally I would not
complain here but feel greatly compelled to do so. This is beyond
being just another one of those bad days. Right about now I could give
a flying fuck about anything or anyone including me :-)

Back in town

Spent the last week out of town and now back to
this place and bored as F**K! I really gotta get
outta here ASAP! LOL it does not take very long
to get very bored here. It's funny because I always hated
being here and others seem to think it's probably not
as bad as I think it is.
Just today a friend of mine was telling me about her mum
who just returned from two months on Puerto Rico. Wow I would
love that but was told the area was very remote and like
here not a lot to do or so. No access to anything exciting but
wow those two months went by so fast. If only mine could have.
I've been in this dungeon for nine months now. Oh Jesus help me
Please.--- Calgon take me away!

The New Duke and Duchess

I had a very early day and on this ocassion--the British Royal Wedding.
It was well worth getting up for to see all the beautiful fashions,
pomp and circumstance. The hats, facsinators and styles looked really good.
No I wanna get married!

Strange little men and pots of gold

Ahh another St. Patrick's Day has come and gone.
The fun of this day in honour of St. Patrick and Irish culture. I even recognise my own wee bit of Irish ancestry and take pride. Cheers to you great great granddad!
This day was so exciting when I was a kid. The thought of spending the whole day searching for some strange little man with a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. You dare not blink and should you he will vanish.
Funny how that almost seems like life all these years later. You spend your whole life searching for some strange little man with a lot of money in the bank. If you don't think you will certainly vanish. ;-)

Having a serious Calgon moment

A trip to New York City is extremely long overdue. Entering my almost 8th month in the boonies and about to go stark mad. Lately I have been looking at several cruises to the Caribbean. Can't decide where I want to go. Barbados looks really good but very expensive. Jamaica and Bahamas are interesting but overdone. I need some place totally different. Calgon take me away--far away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Natural crisis today

Today has been such a sad day for those who have become victims to that powerful earthquakes and tsunami in Japan and the Pacific Rim. I pray that the amount of lost lives is not too high. My thoughts and prayers are with the people at this time.

Mardi Gras

I have never been to a Mardi Gras celebration--well at least a real one.
Almost forgot about high school prom. It always looks exciting but I often
wonder how much of it could I really stand. Kind of reminds me of a few years
ago in London when I attended the Notting Hill Carnival with a friend--always
something I wanted to do and then that weekend came and now it's something
I would never want to go through again. Just a little too much for me.
All in all there's a first time and a last time in just about anything.
However I still would love to have a visit to New Orleans and Rio one day :-)

Back to the boonies

Back from spending the week in the city. Had great fun w/
the family and my adorable and sweet little nephew.
Shopped of course and found plenty of great bargains.
Hmmm now I am reconsidering where I should be relocating to.
Is it now Dallas, San Francisco, San Antonio or can I have
my true love, London back? Calgon take me away.

Busy me

Today is going to be a very busy day.
Another very serious workout since I did not
get to do much over the weekend. Then I have
to clean up this place and make sure I have everything
before leaving for my city break in Dallas :-) of all
places.

GPAs bday party

Just returned from GPAs pre-bday party. It was really
sweet and I am glad that mom and dad's friends brought
their kids to help G celebrate his big day.
I hope he gets to feeling better. Take it from me
I know the awful feeling of nasty colds and respitory
infections.

On this day in Egypt

Well the Egyptian people finally got what
they wanted--Mubarak out of the office.
I have to say I admire them for being so strong
in protesting for what they want. I think it's
terrible for some of these leaders to live
the way they do whilst their people suffer.
I only hope that what comes after Mubarak is
not something worse.
Never been to Egypt but look forward to visiting
one day very soon. Thank God for taking care
of the people and giving them what they need--
a bit of freedom.

Cancellations

Look forward to by city break but the trip got cancelled due to weather in the metroplex so I will have to wait until next week.
I need to get a move on things and decide where to go next. San Francisco looks really good but still trying to decide on the UK but until things are clear I am stayin put.
Maybe this time off can give me time to focus on what is next.

Looking 2 Go Places

I am needing to get out of here for a few days and
seriously need to clear my head and thoughts.
Hope the weather is not as bad as they make it
out to be on tomorrow. I want to get away even if it
is just two hours away. Calgon take me away!

Seeing the sequel SaTC2

I am finally seeing Sex & the City 2 for the first time. It's okay but I can see where it was a bit over the top in the Middle Eastern stereotypes. More than anything I think I hated the ugly clothes. Other than that I really want to go to UAE--either Dubai or Abu Dhaubi--I don't care; I just want to go and now!!!!!!!!!!!!

Day in bed

I think I will just spend the day in the bed.
Not feeling very well mentally today and this
"headache" needs to go away. Feel like I am
going insane once again. Nothing seems to make
it better. This can't be the end.
